A Visual Taste of LS2010

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

As promised, here is the link to my first “Video Taste” to the eLearning Guild Learning Solutions 2010 conference last week in Orlando, Florida.

Let me know what you think: ….Learning Solutions 2010 – Part 1

Part Two, and my commentary, will follow shortly

Back in the saddle

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Well, as I thought, not as easy to keep up with the blog. It takes time, and some sort of schedule to keep it going on a daily basis. Forget doing at night: That is when you want to go to sleep. During the day, too many interruptions. So I am going to try and do it first thing in the morning, or right before lunch.

It is now Tuesday and I have missed some days already. However, a little later this PM, I am going to send out the link to my first “video” tease of Learning Solutions. By tomorrow, I will post the link to a video summary of my impressions…. More to come!

Learning Solutions Day 2

Friday, March 26th, 2010

Well, the first thing I discovered is that it is difficult to attend a show, and write about it at the same time. Next time I am going to put some time aside each day. However, first impression is that I need to get over my trepidations of social networking and get on board! I learned much from the tweeting at #ls2010 as I did meeting with people here. Nevertheless, the face-to-face networking can not (yet) be replaced in a virtual event.
I am completing my first video and will post that later today.
Thanks to all of you who have been following up on me.

Getting ready for LS2010

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

It was a long trip across the country, but I have arrived in Orlando!  The pressure is already on to complete today’s blog and start to tweet.
The good news is that I just learned that my good friend Chris Bond is at the show as well:  His firm, Bluewater Learning, is one of the exhibitors at this conference. They are experts at taking the pain out of an LMS implementation, showing proven processes and best practices for evaluating business learning requirements and bridging the gap between technology, people, content. Yeah, I realize I now sound like a sales geek, but then why did Chevron, Sabic, Intuit and others follow his recommendations? Chris know his stuff and knows the LMS business better than anyone, so I hope his booth is swamped!
OK. Back to preparing for Tweeting tomorrow. I am also going to record some video at the show and add the links to this blog: Not so much reporting, but more of impressions.

BTW, I speak on Thursday at 1pm, Session 608

More on this later….

Using all the tools!

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

I am preparing to leave to Orlando for the eLearning Guild Learning Solutions Conference & Expo 2010 in Orlando.  So I figured, why not use all the tools out there to publicize my appearance and this event.

So, over the next couple of days, I will try to blog daily (never tried it), do a v-Blog (figure it is easier than writing), tweet, and maybe even start a Facebook site!

So stay tuned!  I hope to make it worth your while.
